A Song From a Psalm

I dunno why; I find this elating and funny XD.

Anyway, I recently checked out a Catholic folk black metal band ‘Illuminandi’ which my former youth minister Adrian found out for me (and he is not even into music; bless him man). The first song I heard from them was ‘Hymn of All Creation’. Other than the catchy tune, another thing that caught my interest was the lyrics. It was composed entirely out of 3 Psalms. Pretty cool aye? Anyone who happen to chance this blog: check the song out – it is not all about growls, screams and mindless banging of instruments =D.

Come, let us sing together to our Lord!
Come, let us shout to the Rock of our salvation!
Let us come before him and give him thanks!
Praise him with our music and our song!
(Psalm 95:1-2)

The seas have lifted up their voice,
The seas have lifted up their pounding waves.
Mightier than the waters' thunder --
The Lord on high is mighty!
(Psalms 93:3-4)

Depths of the earth are in his hands,
And all the mountain peaks belong to him.
He made the rivers and the seas,
Dry land was formed by his hand!
(Psalm 95:4-5)

Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad;
Let the sea resound, and all that is in it;
Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them.
Then all the trees will sing for joy;
They'll sing before him who reigns the universe.
(Psalm 96:11-13)

Hymn of All Creation - by Illuminandi

Now, who says that metal ain’t for God? And how much more biblical can you get in a Christian song? =)

RFG always.
